We’re beyond proud to announce that Crain’s Chicago Business, a leading local business publication, has included two of Realogic’s senior leaders, our CEO Jim Pettinger and President Sal Caldarone, in its 2024 Notable Commercial Real Estate Leaders issue.

Crain’s published the eagerly awaited issue on July 29th. Both Pettinger and Caldarone were profiled in it. Like all Crain’s Chicago Business content, the issue is behind a paywall. Here’s a link for Crain’s subscribers >>

Pettinger was selected for the prestigious issue largely on the basis of the outstanding job he’s done leading Realogic since he was appointed CEO in 2019, including navigating our 30+ year old company through the pandemic and the recent commercial real estate downcycle and economic turmoil.

It’s the second high-profile industry honor Pettinger has received this year after being named one of 2024’s Best Bosses In Commercial Real Estate by commercial real estate publisher GlobeSt. in May.

Caldarone was primarily chosen for the notables issue because of his long list of professional accomplishments and industry contributions over the course of his nearly 40-year career in commercial real estate, which include co-founding Realogic and serving as our CEO for 27 years as well as co-founding and serving as CEO of proptech startup and Realogic spinoff rSquared CRE. As CEO of rSquared, Caldarone oversaw the successful launch of rDCF, rSquared’s ground-breaking commercial real estate valuation and underwriting software and the eventual sale of the company and its assets to commercial real estate finance giant SitusAMC. Caldarone returned to Realogic as president in May of this year.

“There are a lot of smart, talented, experienced people working in commercial real estate in Chicago, including here at Realogic”, said Pettinger. “I read Crain’s Chicago Business religiously and to be recognized as an industry leader by the publication is quite an honor. I’m truly appreciative.”

“What a wonderful honor”, said Caldarone. “This is one of the best things to happen to me in my 38 years in commercial real estate. I will say that it’s easy to lead when you have such a great, high-performing team like we do at Realogic. That Crain’s included both me and Jim in its commercial real estate notables issue is more a testament to the many skilled, high-quality people we have here than anything else.”

Congratulations to both Jim and Sal. Your recognition by Crain’s is well-deserved. Our company is incredibly fortunate to have two such outstanding leaders.
