The 2013 DREAA Casino Night was a rousing success! The evening seemed to overflow with spirited competitors and generous sponsors. From flustered novice to stone faced poker veteran, the 80+ players and DREAA supporters filled The Library at 190 S. LaSalle with the familiar gaming hall sounds of laughter, groans over bad hands and cheers of victory.
While the sounds were those of a typical poker tournament, the sights were anything but. The law library of Mayer, Brown and Platt is housed under 3 roof top gables on the southern end of the 40th floor of the 190 S. LaSalle building. Now known simply as ‘The Library’ it is a stunning room that was inspired by the now demolished Masonic Temple designed by architect John Wellborn Root. Illuminated by giant chandeliers, the vaulted two story tall book-lined room is appointed with a very well stocked mahogany bar, huge Palladian style windows, luxuriously upholstered seating areas and parlor games.
Realogic would like to thank the DREAA for hosting this truly impressive bragging rights tournament.
